Art of The Horse

For the last two months, Crystal has been working steadily on a brand new body of work focused entirely on her passion for horses. As a child growing up on a small hobby farm in rural Ontario, she spent much of her time drawing and painting horses and surrounded by her own mother's incredible equine art. Following her most recent art workshop in Colorado at Zapata Ranch, Crystal has created a vibrant and expressive series both in watercolour and oil. 15 original paintings as well as 6 limited edition giclee prints will be available for purchase.
See below for more info &  links to her  PRINT SHOP.
Art of The Horse is a collective art exhibition featuring the works of sculptor Colette Beardall, painter Crystal Beshara and equine photographer Sandy Sharkey. The artists are pleased to be accepting donations for The Therapeutic Riding Association of Ottawa-Carleton (TROtt) which has provided therapeutic riding lessons for children and adults with disabilities for over 40 years.

Why The Art of the Horse?

Humans have documented the horse since the Paleolithic age and contemporary artists have continued to attempt to capture it’s form and spirit in every imaginable medium. Well beyond the simple aesthetic beauty of the horse, it is the universal symbol of freedom without restraint, that continues to draw people to its magic and power. Entire exhibitions in Europe and throughout the Southwest are dedicated to Equine Art. For Beardall, Beshara and Sharkey, they want to bring some of that passion to Ottawa.

For three days only, the artists will share their uniquely different expressions via sculpture and ceramics, drawing and painting and large scale photographs all connecting the viewer in celebration of The Art of The Horse. The artists are pleased to be accepting donations for The Therapeutic Riding Association of Ottawa-Carleton (TROtt) which has provided therapeutic riding lessons for children and adults with disabilities for over 40 years. Meet the Artists, on site each day.
